Swimming All Day Long
Some friends and I went up to northern Minnesota for a weekend this past summer. We went to Lake of the Woods and brought all our camping gear and food up with us. Lake of the Woods itself was a beautiful place, and the lake itself was gorgeous. The first night we got there we set up camp and then went down for a swim. It was about 7 at night and a full moon was in the sky. It looked amazing. The water was pretty warm and little tides of waves were lapping up on shore. You did have to bring shoes into the water as there were some rocks, but it was fantastic. After swimming we went back and settled down by a fire and made some steaks. We quickly got in the tent as mosquitoes were everywhere. The night went by peacefully and the next day we spent all our time swimming in the water, resting on the shore, and searching for crayfish.
